I have never been horseback riding, but I believe I would enjoy the activity.  I would need to take a course on; How to ride horses. My husband has ridden horses a couple of times when he was young (not that he is old).  He told me about the experience and how much he enjoyed being on the horse.

A couple of my husband’s co-workers ride horses.  One of them in particular loves horses; so much that even her office is decorated with equestrian attire.  I believe she rides horses almost every weekend.  Her husband and her even travel to campgrounds that offer horse trails.  They have been too many state parks that offer horseback riding trails.  They stay overnight and make a vacation out of the trip.

Both of my husband’s co-workers breed their horses too.  They have had good results and had several births.  Their children are even involved with the horses.  One of their children took riding classes for many years.  I was not aware that there were different styles of riding; such as English vs Western riding.  I know that she started taking riding classes when she was a small child and remained in the classes until her teenage years.  I am certain she is a great horseback rider.

As our vacation is getting near, I have been organizing the gifts we are giving away to our family, relatives and friends. One of the gifts that I plan to bring is lipstick. Lipstick is light and does not require a lot of space. I have collected numerous lipstick over time; they really are nice ones.

I really don’t wear them unless there is a special occasion such as a wedding or a party. The ones I bought were Loreal, Revlon, Maybelline and Cover Girl. I think these are popular brand-name cosmetics. Though if I buy myself cosmetics, I like Neutrogena, since I find their products more healthier with regard to the ingredients that they use.

So I hope everybody will like this small gifts and that they will enjoy it while it lasts.

My in laws visited an Amish community in Tennessee, in the past. I have always wanted to go with them, but unfortunately I always miss the opportunity. They have told me stories of how people in the community grow their own crops, make their own bread from scratch, do not use electricity and make their own furniture. I am sure that the quality of the amish cribs are very high, as the Amish have great skills and experience in making furniture.

My husband surprised me and the the children in advance; an early Valentine’s Day celebration. So, he bought us some surprises that we usually get every love day. Candies!

He gave me a humongous box of Russel Stover candy that has a wide variety of flavors of chocolate. This past Saturday, he took me to Red Lobster for a dinner and a date. We both liked it there, especially since we were both craving seafood; at least its good for our health and diet.

We went all the way in selecting our meal that night. But at the same time we considered ordering what was best for us. So, instead of getting an appetizer, we skipped it, since we both really don’t eat that much and we would rather indulge in a little dessert to finish off our dinner. To start the meal, we got a salad. I preferred Caesar’s salad with thousand island dressing. On the other hand, my hubby had a garden salad with ranch dressing. Then, we both ordered the Sea Port Sampler, which include shrimp skewers, shrimp scampi, and lobster tail; on the sides were steamed broccoli and garlic mashed potato. I had water to drink and a diet coke coke for my hubby. Red Lobster serves it’s signature rolls during the meal. It was indeed and great choice! Very delicious and worth the wait and the money.

To finish off the dinner, we ordered a dessert perfect for the two of us; double chocolate melted cookie, topped with vanilla ice cream.

Thank you so much hubby for another wonderful and memorable Valentine’s Day with you. You always make me feel special, and the children as well. I love you and I am thankful to God for such a great husband, friend, and father.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In today’s high tech society, business and personal interest alike need a web presence. A business without a website may not be in business for a long period of time; add social media on top of this and its almost certain that a business will fail without a properly administered website.

Most businesses in today’s market place along with almost every one of my friends has a facebook or twitter account. It seems as though this is a prerequisite for a business. However, just creating a facebook or twitter account is not enough for a business. How does a business gain likes and followers in today’s social media realm? This question can be answered several ways; for starters, a business can gain obtain likes and followers by advertising. Another option is to Buy Twitter Followers or Facebook Likes to boost the businesses marketing audience. This is similar to websites taking advantage of back-links to advance their rankings in a search engines order.

No matter which option a business selects to advertise in the realm of social media, one thing is certain, a business needs a social media outlet in today’s marketplace. If a business is not represented on facebook, twitter or its likes, then the business may loose customers to a competitor.

Women are very conscious about the way they look in today’s society. We always tend to try different styles to add appeal so that we are attractive to the opposite sex. Some ladies are very particular with their skin; some with their make up and some on their hair. There are many ways that you can make yourself  look different. One is by using herstyler, especially if  you want to concentrate on your hair. They have a very good deal on their hair flat irons.

This past Sunday we watched the most anticipated game of the year in football; Super Bowl XLVI. Though my husband and I are more college football fanatics, we still watch this games because it’s a tradition in America. The teams that played for the championship this year were the New York Giants and the New England Patriots.

We always prepare finger-foods for the whole family to enjoy while watching the game. Last year, I bought cupcakes for our dessert, but this year my husband and I found a football size cake. So, we got it instead of the cupcakes. The size was perfect for our family. We also ordered hot wings from Wings-To-Go; we prefer regular hot, medium hot and teriyaki flavored wings. We also had the traditional chips and salsa with cheese to complete the meal for that night. With coke to drink, it was a perfect super bowl game.

My husband and I were recently at a family gathering.  Though the reason for the gathering was not something to be happy about, it was good to see our extended family.  We seldom spend quality time with those family members that live a long distance from our residence.

My husband likes drinking coffee especially during the winter- time; compared to me, I just crave coffee once in a blue moon. Meaning; I am not a coffee person. But when my mother in law, gave my husband a Keurig as his Christmas present two years ago, I got hooked on coffee during the winter-time. With the simple push of a button, your coffee is ready. There are plenty of flavors to choose from such as my favorite, Hazelnut and Hot Cocoa. They really are yummy…

My husband on the other hand likes the Breakfast Blend flavor and adds a light creamer for more flavor. He likes to drink his coffee in the morning, while we are preparing breakfast for the family. Yes, he helps me in the kitchen a lot and assists in cleaning the  house. I think he really does a lot of household chores, compared to other men I have known. But most of the time I do my best so that he does not have to do chores at home. I feel like it’s nonsense for me to stay at home and him to come home to a dirty house. Well, we are a great combination, so no worries. We both are, OCD’s. hahaha!
